Hi, there seems to be a bug in the ./intl/ directory in the centericq sources. when you try to compile centericq with --with-included-gettext it won't compile.removing the parameter fixes this. not sure if a dependency on gettext must be added now. (didn't dare to remove my gettext for testing) PS: why is --with-included-gettext used in the ebuild at all ?
check the ABOUT-NLS file within the package... It says to include the option to support full internalization support. Thoughts?
ABOUT-NLS tells me that the glibc version 2 has the same internationalisation power as the package in the ./intl directory. """ So far, only the `gettext' implementation in the GNU C library version 2 provides as many features (such as locale alias or message inheritance) as the implementation here. """ ./intl/VERSION is gettext 0.10.35 on my system 0.11.3 is installed,so --with-included-gettext will use an outdated version. And of cause, the implementation in ./intl does not work for me ;)
yahoo changed it's protocol recently and centericq fixed it in release 4.8.6. Since the latest ebuild before 4.8.7 is 4.8.2, gentoo does not have a working ebuild right now. oktay
I unmasked 4.8.7 and removed the internal gettext support.
