Description Chris Eller 2005-08-26 09:36:16 UTC
Any time I run evolution and send a message I get a usually fatal error. I'm
new to this, please let me know if you need more/other information from me.

Pasted in is my gdb stream:

Continuing.
Cannot find thread 213003: invalid thread handle # can't continue
(gdb)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. start evolution and compose a message
2. send message (sometimes more than one needs to be sent)
3. evolution crashes

Actual Results:
same results with the variation that it won't always crash on the first message
sent out. It has lasted as long as about 5-10 messages before crashing but I
don't have debug info for one of those marathon sessions, sorry.

Expected Results:
Sent out the message and not lost thread handles. Sorry, I'm just learning
programming and can't be much more help than a trained lab rat for the real
heroes here.

Is there any more data I can gather to help? Anything else I can do to help?
Comment 2 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-13 20:56:42 UTC
hi, long time no activity here :)

do you still have this bug ?
if yes, can you provide a gdb backtrace with evolution and evolution-data-server compiled with debug flag.

Did you ask for information on gnome bugzilla ?
Comment 3 John N. Laliberte (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-14 12:51:57 UTC
please upgrade to evolution-2.6 ( just marked stable with GNOME 2.14 ) and re-open the bug if you can still reproduce it.
