Description Justin T. 2002-11-07 05:43:29 UTC
I just noticed that there is a problem emerging ebuilds. When an ebuild is
cancelled, or dies from an error, it will still be considered installed.

Test example...

emerge fontconfig
cancel it shortly after it starts
emerge -p fontconfig

This will now show fontconfig as being installed even when the emerge didn't
complete.

This can be dangerous if someone isn't paying attention, as this occured with
me on my installation and xfree. Luckily I caught the error quickly.

Just thought I would pass this one on.

newest portage should fix this ... re-open with `emerge info` if it does not
