After Update to version 0.2.4 of the acx100 driver i receive lots of errors in /var/log/messages (more then 5.3 GB in two days!). I have tryed to change the firmware to the org. from dlink but i didn't work, still the same messages! All I can do is forward this to the upstream guys, so it might take a little while. For now, I'd say stick to the previous version.
To solve this problem, we need to know what firmware you're using. What is the md5sum of the firmware?
This bug report is awaiting feedback from the reporter.
The Problem is still happen. I had send (via email) the md5sum i while ago, but no response. May be that i send it to the wrong person/list. I'm currently use ebuild version 0.3.23. I've patch the pci.c as follow: @@ -3386,8 +3386,10 @@ printk("%s: tx error 0x%02X, buf %02u! (%s)\n", priv->netdev->name, error, finger, err); else + if(error!=0x80){ printk("%s: tx error 0x%02X, buf %02u!\n", priv->netdev->name, error, finger); + } } Now I get only 20 error messages. It works very well. The 0x80 means DMA error.... 24a54fd30f7658fcbffc825b0dd7aa5b tiacx100 a150750ad33c512edc4afee5270b37cb tiacx100c11 c99d01d4fcf0d6cc00441aff60690be4 tiacx100c15 1c7413e7b0be4ef7d1e424a132e17fab tiacx100r0D a150750ad33c512edc4afee5270b37cb tiacx100r11 c99d01d4fcf0d6cc00441aff60690be4 tiacx100r15
Today i got the new ebuild 0.3.31, but still the same error. Maybe a bug of my card (revision b1)? Here a the actual md5sum's: 24a54fd30f7658fcbffc825b0dd7aa5b tiacx100 a150750ad33c512edc4afee5270b37cb tiacx100c11 c99d01d4fcf0d6cc00441aff60690be4 tiacx100c15 1c7413e7b0be4ef7d1e424a132e17fab tiacx100r0D a150750ad33c512edc4afee5270b37cb tiacx100r11 c99d01d4fcf0d6cc00441aff60690be4 tiacx100r15 7a5591e8c6af927c85f4798c5cf15389 tiacx100usbc0D 7c2119a67417fe9090907c0b26483667 tiacx111 7026826460376f6b174f9225bd7781b9 tiacx111c16 95552544ca6d2b4e8c6aeb80b8ae7fdf tiacx111c17 a1fa9681e297b4e36e257090fc12265a tiacx111c19 7dc869de8844b4d61740f0d9f06534c0 tiacx111r16 67333c6a7cc107ebba8c80f259bda766 tiacx111r17
Can you please report this upstream to the acx100 project? Preferrably on the mailing list or bug site. seems not to be an ebuild bug.
