POV Ray is an open source highquality raytracer with more than ten years of development. the ebuild installs into /usr/lib/povray31 (examples and guidebook, per the povray recommendations) and /usr/bin , I've built the x-povray and the text-mode povray, not the SVGAlib based version. also a patch for the makefile to get it to install properly.

Inclusion in main portage tree will unfortunately have to wait till after 1.0 is released. The ebuild looks good. However, it should make use of the USE variables X and svga in the dependency and to conditionally make the respective binaries. Would you like to try your hand at adding this functionality?
Fixed the X and svga dependencies and makes, and sent the new -r1 ebuild as attachment to you.
