Description M. Creidieki Crouch 2005-08-23 13:58:36 UTC
The "crypt" emerge flag specifies that applications should be built with
encryption support when possible. The gaim-encryption plugin is on the portage
tree, and I think it would be helpful if gaim emerged it whenever the "crypt"
flag was specified.

This used to be the case until I removed it earlier this year. The problem was
the added pain of moving things to the stable tree for security bugs, which gaim
has had a nasty rash of lately.

Perhaps in the future if things settle down, we'll put this back in. For now,
however, I'd rather just leave things as they are and let the user add
gaim-encryption onto the emerge command.

Have things settled down to readd crypt?
