Hello !

The rtptools distribution consists of a number of small applications that can be
used for processing RTP data.
rtpplay
Play back RTP sessions recorded by rtpdump
rtpsend
Generate RTP packets from textual description, generated by hand or rtpdump
rtpdump
Parse and print RTP packets, generating output files suitable for rtpplay and
rtpsend
rtptrans
RTP translator between unicast and multicast networks; also translates between
VAT and RTP formats.

I really enjoy these tools as I am working for a VoIP provider, we are using
them everyday.

I suggest net-analyzer as category.

Thanks in advance.

Please fix the following and reopen:

* If you really have to use einstall, include a comment. The usual method is
make DESTDIR="${D}" install || die "install failed".
* No README, ChangeLog etc? It's ok if there aren't, but if there are you should
install them using 'dodoc'.

Firstly, this ebuild works absolutely fine with these very minor problems. I cannot see your justification for deeming that the Gentoo community is better off without an ebuild for rtptools at all than to have one with some very minor issues.

Secondly, these are trivially fixable anyway. If a maintainer really can't fix these niggles then I can do so and upload another ebuild, but my experience of writing ebuilds is very limited, whereas a maintainer will know what they're doing, so this seems like a very inefficient and sub-optimal way of working.
