After a few seconds of the melody playing kobodeluxe crashes. No crash with
sound disabled

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable sound and wait for the melody to start playing
2.

What version?  I just tried with kobodeluxe-0.4_pre8 and it worked fine here.

You're going to need to do some leg work on your end.  I can't reproduce this bug.
