what version?
Ooops :-) net-misc/d4x-2.5.1
Could You test solution (rather workaround) posted in bug 99124 c#10 ?
I haven't confirmed this but I believe d4x-2.5.1 began segfaulting for me after I upgraded from gtk+-2.6.8 to 2.6.10. Cheers, Peter

Confirmed. D4X 2.5.2 running flawless. No segfaults.
Closed bug. New release fixes startup bug.
D4X 2.5.2 is not in the portage... how you people are using it?
There's an ebuild for 2.5.2 here, http://bugs.gentoo.org/attachment.cgi?id=67429 and another for 2.5.3 here, http://bugs.gentoo.org/attachment.cgi?id=67710 Put one of them in your overlay.
Closing as bug 104511 was fixed too.
