Setiathome will not run on amd64 if libstdc++-v3 is not installed. The problem started after upgrading to gcc-3.4.4 and depcleaning libstdc++-v3. Since setiathome is a binary package it is not possible to fix this using the fix_libtool_files.sh script nor by running revdep-rebuild. Adding the following line to the ebuild fixed the problem for me: RDEPEND="amd64? ( libstdc++-v3 )" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Created attachment 66459 [details] setiathome-3.08-r5.ebuild Added an updated ebuild for setiathome-3.08 that includes the dependency on libstdc++-v3 on amd64.
I have just committed the new setiathome client to the tree. This is compiled from source and so does not suffer these issues. The old client is obsolete and will be removed from the tree in due course. Please test the new client (4.18). As far as I am aware 3.08 no longer works with the setiathome project.

> As far as I am aware 3.08 no longer works with the setiathome project. 3.08 works perfectly, at least right now ... 4.18 is not a solution since it uses BOINC - so please reopen this bug
We have decided to drop support for the 3.x series as it is no longer developed and the binaries are no longer distributed. 3.x ebuilds (and related packages) will soon be masked, then removed from Portage.
