Description Lee Simpson 2005-08-20 16:37:29 UTC
Hi,

My system was working fine until i updated the bios the latest version. Now when
i boot the kernel, it complains about irq's and says something like 'noone
care's for irq 7' and halts.

I found passing the 'irqpoll' option via the bootloader corrects this problem.

I Wasn't sure if I should post a bug about this or if its a motherboard prob, so
if its not fixable then sorry in advance.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

If you can reproduce this on vanilla-sources-2.6.13_rc6 then feel free to file a
bug at http://bugzilla.kernel.org including the full "nobody cared" report as
its possible that a quirk could be put in place. But you might just be told that
you have a buggy bios.
