Description Alexander Skwar 2005-08-20 01:58:30 UTC
The manpages of x11-misc/synaptics-0.14.3 cannot be found. Reason:

--- /usr/man/
--- /usr/man/man1/
--- /usr/man/man1/man1/
>>> /usr/man/man1/man1/syndaemon.1
>>> /usr/man/man1/man1/synclient.1
--- /usr/man/man1/man5/
>>> /usr/man/man1/man5/synaptics.5

IOW: They are put in the wrong directory. They rather need to be
in /usr/share/man.

This seems to be a regression of bug #52487.

Actually, the /usr/man thing wasn't the problem here, since that's a symlink
to /usr/share/man now. It was actually that the synaptics Makefile has been
fixed to install manfiles correctly (synclient/daemon in man1, synaptics in
man5).

I've fixed the ebuild to both install to /usr/share/man and not specify a
specific category for the manfiles. Thanks.
