Description kde123 2002-03-09 16:28:33 UTC
I'm on gentoo_rc6-15 with kde (kdelibs 2.2.2-r3 has been emerged). Other kde
packages are latest versions.
/etc/profile.env has following line
export KDEDIR='/usr'
It should be
export KDEDIR='/usr/kde/2'
I have no umerged /etc/.../._cfg... files.

profile.env is generated by concatenating the files in /etc/env.d (with a few extra operations). Please look there and post here the contents of your /etc/env.d/70kdelibs-2.2.2; here it contains KDEDIR=/usr/kde/2. If it contains /usr for you, try remerging kdelibs if you haven't yet. If you ahve say so here and we'll go on diagnosing the problem.

Since you haven't replied I assume the problem has either gone away or you are not interested in investigating further. Also noone else has complained of this and I annt reproduce it. So I'm closing it.
