There seems to be some problems running maya on Gentoo amd64 with emul-linux 32 bit libs. Often maya crashes when the scene gets bigger and bigger. I used to run the program on 32 bit environment and now when I got a 64 bit hardware I tested it and now i am noticing the problems. Any suggestions or fix will be helpful. Thanks. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open maya on amd64 environment 2.Make a heavy scene 3.wait till maya crashes Actual Results: maya crashes stating often as segfault or memory insufficiencies. Expected Results: it would render the image or continue on the 3d workspace and not crash. I don't think this has anything to do with recruiters ...
what version of maya are you using? how did you install it? maya7 isn't in portage! are you using KDE, klipper, or any clipboard utility?
i'd suggest closing this bug.. it's about a package not in portage, NEEDINFO for over a month, and it's just another item in my 'bugs which need more attention' list ;)
yeah closing
