Description Willie Wong 2005-08-17 10:33:34 UTC
As listed on the website, to subscribe to a mailing list, send mail to
<listname>-subscribe@gentoo.org
and to unsubscribe, send mail to
<listname>-unsubscribe@gentoo.org.

But in the headers for mails received from the lists, we see:
List-Post: <mailto:gentoo-user@lists.gentoo.org>
List-Subscribe: <mailto:gentoo-user+subscribe@gentoo.org>
List-Unsubscribe: <mailto:gentoo-user+unsubscribe@gentoo.org>
List-Help: <mailto:gentoo-user+help@gentoo.org>
List-Id: Gentoo Linux mail <gentoo-user.gentoo.org>
which suggests the correct syntax is <listname>+<function>@gentoo.org

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to http://www.gentoo.org/main/en/lists.xml
2. Read.
3. Open mail from the mailing lists
4. Read header.

Actual Results:
Find difference

Expected Results:
Should be the same.

both set of instructions work. Ideally, the web site will be updated, but
there's nothing incorrect about either set of instructions.
