1-alpha0 xine-ui-0.9.14.tar.gz xine-lib-1-alpha0.tar.gz
Created attachment 5907 [details] xine-lib-1_alpha1.ebuild This is alpha1, with needed changes included. I'm just recompiling kdemultimedia-3.1_rc3 to check if it compiles fine with xine artsplugin and this version of xine-lib. Until now, it was disabled.
1-alpha2 is out now http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/xine/xine-lib-1-alpha2.tar.gz?download xine-lib (1.0.0-alpha2/beta0) * configurable image position * DVD menu button highlight position fixes * internal engine changes to allow a new layer of post effect plugins * VCD playback fixed (actually it was a bug in the real demuxer) * pnm input plugin (old real network protocol) * real demuxer fixes * use binary real codecs to decode rv20/30 video, sipro/cook audio (experimental) * arts audio output plugin ported to new architecture * esound audio output plugin ported to new architecture
Just committed the first shot at alpha2 ebuild. I'm sure there's going to be issues; please test. Especially, we need to revise the dependencies, since they are likely to have changed. I don't have a DVD-ROM at this computer, so I'll test the DVD playback later tonight/tomorrow.
I'll try to compile again, but with alpha1 kde-multimedia-3.1_rc3's arts_xineplugin did not compile, while it did with post 0.9.13 versions (from CVS). Alpha2's changelog says something about the arts plugin ported to the new API. Let's see...
Hmmm, perhaps it would be wise to test the new xine-lib 1 beta 0 instead of this alpa3 version. The xine website mentions that some major bugfixes have been comitted and that the xine-lib itself is in a feature-chill meaning any new feature will be stuffed in a separate plugin.
Well, beta_0 is in the portage as well. I'm closing this bug. If there are any issues with kde-multimedia or some other package, please open separate bugs for those. Thanks.
