I know there was several discussions about dmraid support being included in 2005.1. Somehow this did not happen. This should be added at the very least to 2005.2 or better yet re-release 2005.1 with it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Well, dmraid support is included, for one. Second, what makes you think it would be a blocker and not an enhancement if this were true and it was a feature request?
Perhaps I am mistaken or doing something wrong. The dmraid executable does not seem to be included on the livecd and I see nothing in the logs about Initializing dmraid like genkernel does. Please advise.
Sorry, this got lost in the shuffle. Anyway, we don't put anything on the CD that isn't stable in the tree. The dmraid support requries you to have set it up before-hand. If you don't have an already-established dmraid setup, then it is preferred to use normal software raid methodology. We'll add the dmraid package once there's a stable version in the tree.
Added b33fc0d3 so he knows about this bug. He is planning to maintain dmraid once he becomes a developer, and he can REOPEN this bug once there's a stable version in the tree.

OK. I just did this myself.
Added to SVN...
This was fixed in 2008.0
