If I mark the URL in my 32-bit firefox (which I need to get the Flash plugin) and try to paste it in my rxvt, nothing happens. However, Firefox writes an error message to the console stating that it cannot convert between UTF-8 and ISO-8859-1. This message is the reason why I think it's a bug in the emul-x86-glibc and filed the bug in the core system category. I can paste in xterm (xterm converts selection itself, rxvt expects ISO-8859-1). Pasting from rxvt to firefox also does not work. But I can paste from firefox to itself. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. run firefox 2. mark some text with the mouse 3. move mouse over rxvt 4. paste using middle mouse button Actual Results: error message from firefox. Expected Results: pasted the text. Is this still a problem? It works for me, what locales are you using?
this is still broken for me. I have to run rxvt-unicode to be able to paste from 32-bit Firefox.
Have you tried re-emerging with USE='cjk'?
