This wont be fatal, and should only happen on USE=doc. this file was removed during 2.6.12 devel, patch is in my local repo and will hit cvs soon.
in practice, actually the bug is fatal since it prevents building the kernel (what is mandatory stage for install). I expect bug to stay open until change is committed. I leave this one as is for today. Just remember this for next time. Thx CU.
Please elaborate? How does this warning prevent you from building the kernel?
(In reply to comment #2) > in practice, actually the bug is fatal since it prevents building the kernel > (what is mandatory stage for install). No, this really is NOT fatal. the man pages ae not required to have a working kernel image. > I expect bug to stay open until change is committed. it is. as I said it would be. I expect you to allow me to manage the bug report myself. If you plan on commenting so late on about this then maybe you should check the CVS commit logs first. Theyre plain to see on viewcvs. > I leave this one as is for today. Just remember this for next time. Thx CU. I don't take kindly to a demanding attitude. In future, either show more tact or I will disregard your comments.
> I expect you to allow me to manage the bug report myself. How can I do that ? I already see you as assigend, but I cant see any line about the bug maintainer in bugzilla. > If you plan on commenting so late on about this then maybe you should check the CVS commit logs first. soon/late is a notion related with a blurred/random/fuzzy function of time, time table, work, personal priorities, and ratio spam/email per day for each individual. >> I expect bug to stay open until change is committed. > it is. on bugzilla, I can read since 1 week: Status: RESOLVED Resolution: FIXED to my mind, this does not sound like a 'still open bug'. Unless I am too much debianinst to understand Gentoo reports, or maybe too much -french to be able to read English pages.
