Description arpac 2005-08-09 09:33:37 UTC
when I lunch some games like: "concentration comet childsplay ceferino caesar
briquolo bumprace bomberclone blobwars abe civclient" the game won't start or
freeze, I must use kill -9 pid to stop them
I use an amd64, compiled in 32 or 64 no differences with the problem and have a
ati graphic card with the ati drivers.
I've search for the lib, no lib seems broken or not working.
with other games, I haven't any problem (ex: armagetron atanks balloonchase
barbarian betna blackshades bomber bzflag BillardGL cgoban2 chickens chromium)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

Actual Results:
games freeze directly

Some of these games are not even marked ~amd64 and this bug contains zero
relevant information (like emerge --info or ati drivers version etc.) Chances
are high that the version of ati drivers your are using just sucks. Did you try
other version(s)?

I think there is a pb with the sound, and I don't know why :/
for exemple when I start "civclient -P esd" civclient start, and some games
(like "cube_client") freeze after: init: sound

PS: On this partition, gentoo is compiled in 32b mode
