Is there a reason for keeping the 2.4.0 version around that I don't know of? If not, I'm going to remove it.
(In reply to comment #7) > Is there a reason for keeping the 2.4.0 version around that I don't know of? If > not, I'm going to remove it. 2.4.0 is marked as stable on amd64 (keyword amd64), whereas 2.6.0 is testing (keyword ~amd64). But I could eventually compile 2.6.0 on my amd64 based system (see Bug 101657).
xerces-2.6.0, not 2.6.0-r1, is stable on amd64. The keywords are the same for 2.4.0-r1 and 2.6.0.
(In reply to comment #9) > xerces-2.6.0, not 2.6.0-r1, is stable on amd64. The keywords are the same for > 2.4.0-r1 and 2.6.0. I don't have the same KEYWORDS for 2.4.0-r1 and 2.6.0-r1 dev-libs/xerces-c-2.4.0-r1.ebuild ($Header: /var/cvsroot/gentoo-x86/dev-libs/xerces-c/xerces-c-2.4.0-r1.ebuild,v 1.6 2004/07/02 04:57:24 eradicator Exp $) is marked stable KEYWORDS="x86 ~ppc amd64 ~sparc" On the contrary, dev-libs/xerces-c-2.6.0-r1 ($Header: /var/cvsroot/gentoo-x86/dev-libs/xerces-c/xerces-c-2.6.0-r1.ebuild,v 1.2 2005/07/14 00:00:46 halcy0n Exp $) and is marked testing KEYWORDS="~x86 ~ppc ~sparc ~amd64" I thought this why the resaon why there are both versions 2.4.0 and 2.6.0.(in reply to your Comment 7)
Removed xerces-2.4.0-r1 from the tree. Its not depended on by anything. Also, I said 2.4.0-r1 and 2.6.0 had the same keywords, not 2.4.0-r1 and 2.6.0-r1.
