Description David Cozatt 2005-08-07 07:51:35 UTC
all right this is not the only page with this problem and several do display
properly. If viewed in a terminal window display for these seems ok as well.
The following pages have words off the page-
LVM2 installation HOWTO
2.6 migration guide
Genkernel guide
Alternative installation HOWTO
x86 Quick install guide
Gentoo/x86 Installation tips and tricks
Gentoolkit guide
A portage introduction

In addition to words being off the page the hyperlinks on the sidebars are not
diplayed. This is an incomplete list- There are likely others.

A page(s) that do(es) display properly is the Gentoo x86 Handbook.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Use 640x480 console
2.links.gentoo.org and browse to documentation links
3.select one of the above listed docs

Expected Results:
word wrapped and displayed links on the side of the docs

In links you can use "[" and "]" buttons to scroll the content right and left
and see whole page, if the console is really too small to display it.

Please try it and then tell us if you feel satisfied with such solution.

We're not going to truncate/wrap <pre> anyway.

Heh thanks, that does work just didn't know about it. A mention might for above
solution would be nice some where in the install docs.

Should be just a matter of correcting a template that all guides fit.
As I said some do display properly.

Nah, it's enough to go in links to "Help" -> "Keys" and get all the info.

No need to duplicate such easily accessible information in the install docs.
