Description Redeeman 2005-08-06 15:49:33 UTC
Now, this is a proposal on how to enhance the experience in the gentoo
channels, and not the actual irc programs...

Ciaranm is valuable in the field of vim, which is why he shouldnt be dismissed
from gentoo, however its clear that he cant stay in the main channels,
therefore the only solution that springs to mind is to create #gentoo-ciaranm,
where ciaranm is, and when a user or developer needs to talk to him, he can
join this channel.

now this might not seem like the brigtest idea, since there could be
flamewards inthere, therefore one should leave immediately after having got
the thing he came for, to not disturb the ciaranm..

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
now when i say reproducibility is: "sometimes, but not always", i mean
becaues, the ciaranm might get angry, and join the #gentoo channels, in which
case one has to tame it again.

1. create chanserv on #gentoo-ciaranm
2. Talk to lilo and get him to lock ciaranm in there
3. enjoy the calm and non-flaming #gentoo channels.

Actual Results:
Everyone lives happily ever after.

(note: please dont go insane, as i only write this in the interrest of the
greater good)

Are you trying to be funny?
Comment 2 Tim Yamin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-06 16:43:42 UTC
And the answer is "no".
Comment 3 Alex Howells (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-06 16:46:03 UTC
He's not trying to be funny .. this must be supporting evidence for some
criminal trial he's involved with - he's clearly trying to prove he's insane to
the jury.

/me locks Redeeman into #gentoo-looney-bin
