Could you be more verbose? Some error messages? Or did you mean that the patch
does not apply?
Comment 2 Fritz Heinrichmeyer 2005-08-05 01:43:05 UTC
excuse me, i meant the patch did not apply.
Comment 3 Fritz Heinrichmeyer 2005-08-05 01:44:42 UTC
i tried on two different boxes yesterday and today with same results.

You forgot to reopen.
Comment 5 Fritz Heinrichmeyer 2005-08-05 05:10:32 UTC
after commenting out the patch line (28) in ebuild it failed in line 54 of
ebuild file as by commenting out a continuation line was broken. Of course it is
easy to repair the patch file.
Comment 6 Aaron Walker (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-05 10:13:11 UTC
Yeah seems like the maintainer doesnt test things before committing... the
patch doesn't apply.

Also, as you pointed out, you cannot comment out a line with a line continuation
character and expect it to still work. Yet another thing that would've been
caught had it been tested.

Fixed.
Comment 7 José Alberto Suárez López (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-06 17:57:12 UTC
yes, i tested it before committed. just i commited the worng ebuild.
I will repair it when im at home

Try with something recent, this version doesn't even exist in portage, it's been removed half year ago.
