Trying to emerge splashutils on AMD64 platform.

I get the following error:

splash.o(.text+0x148): In function 'main':
: undefined reference to 'boot_message'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

I have AMD64 3200+, FB support is compiled into the kernel.
Graphics card has Radeon 9600 XT chip
1 Gb RAM 

Same issue is happening for 1.9.1.7 and 1.9.1.8 versions.

1. emerge splashutils

Actual Results:  
Error displayed as per description

Expected Results:  
Compiled the splashutils package.

Could you check whether adding 'truetype' to your USE flags fixes the problem
for 1.1.9.8?
