beep-media-player-0.9.7-r6 (exactly patch "0.9.7-window-focus.patch") breaks fluxbox feature "remember workspace". This feature finally works in bmp 0.9.7-r4 (I have tried it in XMMS and BMP severaltimes during 2 years and it had never worked, I've even tried many posibilities - using xprop (WM_CLASS, WM_NAME...) and edit .fluxbox/apps). I was so happy, that it finelly worked in 0.9.7-r4! But after upgrade to 0.9.7-r6, it again doesn't work :-(. Only main window is on desired workspace, other (playlist etc.), are on actual workspace. I tried to delete line in ebuild whit this patch (0.9.7-window-focus.patch), and it works again! :) I don't know, if this patch is important for functionality, but if not, please don't use it in next version of ebuild, or if so, please try to do it so that it doesn't brake this feature. Thanks Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.In flubox, right click on bmp in toolbar and set Remmember...->Workspace 2.In bmp-0.9.7-r4 all windows of bmp start on that workspace. 3.In bmp-0.9.7-r6 only main window of bmp start on that workspace. Actual Results: all windows of bmp start on workspace, which was set. Expected Results: only main window of bmp start on workspace, which was set.
This patch has been merged upstream, so it will be in 0.9.7.1 if you do not report a bug there. I have linked their release metabug. Please report the bug there, or reopen if you have a patch that makes things work on commonbox and does not break behaviour again on metacity.
