When using konqueror, moving a large file from from media://hdaX/Y to media://hdaX/Z takes alot of time, as if it was copying it. This is a very anoying bug, it's already fixed upstream (see bug 105806 at bugs.kde.org), could some one please fix this in kdebase-3.4.1-r1 or something. Another problem when using media:// is when i press F4 to open a konsole, it allways opens konsole with the prompt at ~, it should open with the prompt at the path konqueror's at, this too is fixed in SVN in kdebase/konqueror/konq_mainwindow.cc function slotOpenTerminal... i would be happy if someone fixed the first problem, the second one isnt very critical :) thanks sergio Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.go to media://hdaX and move a large file within the same partition 2. 3. Usually we don't backport fixes if the KDE team itself does not consider them safe enough to be backported to the 3.4 branch. And this is an annoying problem but is restricted to a small area and affects a small part of the userbase. So I'm not for it, any other opinions from the kde team?
As Gregorio pointed out, you have to wait for KDE 3.5.
