After emerging xpdf-3.00-r8, a number of tools has been installed, such as pdfimages, pdftotext, pdffonts, pdfinfo, pdftops. Funnily, xpdf itself is missing. Build with +motif to have xpdf.
Aaargh, "If you want to compile xpdf binary you have to set USE=motif". It disappeared that fast I didn't see it the first four times. Sorry.
