pinging www.tds.net showed that TDS had major external routing issues. This 
was resolved shortly after the outage. The config for the switch controlling 
the gentoo.mirrors.tds.net (mirror1) server did not recover successfully and 
needed to be re-configured. This was done on Monday at 9am. As of Noon 08/01 
all files should be in sync.
