Description David E.Miller 2002-11-02 10:41:16 UTC
Skipstone fails to compile. Compile error message generated during emerge of
skipstone. All dependencies satisified. All gentoo world and system packages up
to date.
Comment 1 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-11-02 23:52:49 UTC
it needs mozilla 0.9.9

muhri (of muhri.net) the author is not responding to e-mails, and the cvs
checkout for skipstone is dead. so for now, there is nothing we can do about it.
 awaiting a response from upstream..

Comment 3 David E.Miller 2002-11-03 11:05:10 UTC
Thanks for the update! This application emerge worked the last time I emerged
it. I am not sure why it is not now, but the Gentoo system install I have now
is newer. I suspect that if I bring the other system up to date with an emerge
update that the same thing would happen, I will try this just for grins.

David, here's what seems to be working for me. I compiled skipstone against the
older mozilla (0.9.9) and then upgraded mozilla after that. Both moz and
skipstone have been working fine for me...
Comment 5 David E.Miller 2002-11-03 19:10:11 UTC
Must be some header files or something in the older mozilla ebuild being used
by skipstone and the new mozilla doesn't provide the same stuff. I will try
this on my system. Thanks.
