Description Andreas Sundebo 2005-07-30 11:16:25 UTC
Problem:
The problem where emerging docbook-sgml-utils or esound hangs when it runs
either jade or jw (jade script) is caused by openjade now filtering cflags
whereas opensp doesn't filter anything. This causes problems for people using
custom cflags, as certain functions seem to require that both packages are
compiled using identical flags.

Solution:
Employ the same cflag filtering in app-text/opensp as already done in
app-text/openjade.

I rated this bug "major" because many people risk getting bitten by it as esound
is a gnome-2.10.2 depency.

This specifically came up on my amd64 gcc4 system. Opensp built fine using -O1
in my cflags, but failed with -Os.

Thank you for the report. This situation certainly seems to have caused a number
of strange bugs that have been reported over the months.

This is fixed now in CVS.
