Yesterday, I installed mail-client/mozilla-thunderbird-1.0.6-r2. I'm probably missing some features which should be there, according to other people. For example, I'm missing "Ignore thread", which should be in the Message menu. I looked everywhere (Google, forums, etc) without result, so I almost think it's a distro-specific issue. emerge --info output: ===================== Portage 2.0.51.22-r2 (default-linux/x86/2005.0, gcc-3.3.5-20050130, glibc-2.3.5-r0, 2.6.12-gentoo-r4 i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.12-gentoo-r4 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.70GHz Gentoo Base System version 1.6.13 distcc 2.18.3 i686-pc-linux-gnu (protocols 1 and 2) (default port 3632) [disabled] dev-lang/python: 2.3.5 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.11 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.59-r6 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.5 sys-devel/binutils: 2.15.92.0.2-r10 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.18-r1 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.11-r2 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-O2 -mcpu=i686 -pipe" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/NX/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/env /usr/kde/3.3/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/shutdown /usr/kde/3.4/env /usr/kde/3.4/share/config /usr/kde/3.4/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb /usr/share/config /usr/share/texmf/dvipdfm/config/ /usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/platex/config/ /usr/share/texmf/xdvi/ /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-O2 -mcpu=i686 -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoconfig distlocks sandbox sfperms strict" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://ftp.easynet.nl/mirror/gentoo/" LINGUAS="nl" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/home/bram/.portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.nl.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 X aalib alsa apm arts avi bash-completion berkdb bitmap-fonts bluetooth calendar cdr crypt cscope ctype cups curl divx4linux doc dvd emboss encode exif fam foomaticdb ftp gd gdbm gif ginac gpm gstreamer icq imagemagick imlib ipv6 jabber java jpeg kde libg++ libwww mad mikmod mime mng mp3 mpeg msn ncurses nls ogg oggvorbis opengl oscar oss pam pcmcia pcre pdflib perl plotutils png python qt quicktime readline ruby sdl spell sqlite ssl tcltk tcpd tetex threads tidy tiff truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts unicode usb vorbis wifi win32codecs wmf xine xml2 xmlrpc xmms xv zlib linguas_nl userland_GNU kernel_linux elibc_glibc" Unset: ASFLAGS, CTARGET, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS, MAKEOPTS =====================
Actually it is under View --> Threads --> Ignore Thread ... closing as invalid
That's something different, it's a view option. I already found that view option, but doesn't make sense to me as long as I can't mark them.
I didn't know this feature existed for newsgroups only. Sorry for the inconvenience.
