when I am in the CC of some bug, I receive feedback when other people add comments. Here is the example of a recent mail I received: Clear-Text: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99182 Secure: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99182 ------- Additional Comments From Martin.vGagern@gmx.net 2005-07-28 01:10 PDT ------- In reply to all those comments about enigmail failing on a new profile: This is a known bug, and a different one, and a workaround is described in bug 84668 comment 7. Yes, this issue should be fixed as well (maybe by making enigmail an ebuild of it's own), but it should not stop enigmail support in general. it would be REALLY HELPFULL if those emails could include the # of the comment in the thread ... because I hardly memorise bug numbers, but having the comment # would help remember which bug it is about ... and refresh me if the comment I add is a comment about a fresh bug (low #), or an old one (# larger than 8). typically, I d expect something like: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99182#c25 in the header of the mail, or a line like: ------- New comment #25 From Martin.vGagern@gmx.net 2005-07-28 01:10 PDT ------- or maybe a differenc topic: [Bug 99182] Comment #25 Re-include enigmail in mail-client/mozilla-thunderbird-1.0.6 maybe not ... cause altering the subject could prevent easy sorting of mails for advanced MUAs ... but still ... plz find a way to introduce the comment number somewhere.
there isnt a way to become that granular in the email replies. there is no variable for comment name/number or user who made such changes.
hmmm you are able to insert the comment in the mail ... cant you at least insert the absolute URL ? like https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100558#c2 for this actual comment if I am lucky :D
