Description Alexander Rigbo 2005-07-26 14:08:28 UTC
gnome-session and gnome-terminal wont start after upgrade.
neither does gnome-system-log so i guess no programs will start.

this is probably a duplicate but i find it very hard to search for this kind
of bugs.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

What versions have you upgraded to?

By "wont start", what exactly does that mean?

Please give us steps and more detail so we can attempt to reproduce this problem.

metroid ~ # emerge -vp gnome-terminal gnome-session
[ebuild R ] x11-terms/gnome-terminal-2.10.0 +debug 2,279 kB
[ebuild R ] gnome-base/gnome-session-2.10.0-r3 -debug +esd +ipv6 0 kB

When i try to run gnome-session in a clean X (just twm running and an xterm
running) it just stops after i press enter. It consumes alot of CPU but
nothing happens.

Might be related to 101227. Does nautilus start for you?
Comment 4 Alexander Rigbo 2005-08-15 02:30:05 UTC
I'm sorry, but i'm fed up with the errors and bugs in GNOME, so it's gone from
my computer.

Not possible to debug it further without more details.
