The most recent versions of the program 'specimen' found in media-sound section of portage are fairly outdated and need to be updated. Along with this new version of specimen, the ebuild for 'phat', a required library, must be updated. The newest in portage under media-libs is 0.2.3, whereas the newest version is 0.3.1. The website for both of these is http://www.gazuga.net Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: N/A Actual Results: N/A Expected Results: N/A N/A

Hi, the paths for specimen and phat changed, I adapted them in your ebuilds and then they worked fine for me. You can find them in the last both comments. When will they be merged to the official portage tree? Specimen-0.5.1 has major improvements and doesnt cause 100% CPU load like them former version.

Also, could you can change the Type to "text/plain" for the two ebuilds you submitted? You can do it without re-attaching the ebuilds by clicking on the "Edit" action for the attachement, changing the MIME Type field to text/plain, writing a comment, and then clicking submit.

If you tried to somehow make ladcca support mandatory, you should have modified the DEPEND and src_compile() sections, too.
