Description Colonel Paneek 2005-07-24 18:23:17 UTC
Some dxf files, for example the ones in:
/usr/share/qcad-parts-2.0.1.2/electronics/inductors/transformer/
do not display correctly in qcad built from qcad-2.0.4.0-r1.ebuild

The transformers may display with the text "Resistor" drawn instead of or in
addition to the picture of the component.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge qcad-2.0.4.0-r1 and qcad-parts-2.0.1.2
2.Set parts library path from
Edit->Application Preferences->Paths->Part Libraries
3. Check components with View->Views->Library Browser

Actual Results:
transformer (and other) component rendered incorrectly while browsing the
database and after inserting the component into the page

Expected Results:
Rendered the component per the library at qcad's site

I compared the transformer dxf installed by portage with the one from the qcad's
web site and found no differences, suggesting that this is a qcad bug rather
than bad dxf files.

After a very quick glance (mainly grep for "Resistor") I see no easy solution to
this. Please drop a note here if you find one - until then, I close this as
UPSTREAM. Sorry!
