After upgrading to 2.6.12 kernel (actually, from mm-sources 2.6.12-rc4-mm1) pmount would complain that /dev/sdaX was not removable. Upgrading to sysfsutils 1.3.0 (released June 1, 2005) fixes this. The patch from the 1.2.0 ebuild is applied upstream so it is no longer needed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

It looks like with the sysfsutils 2.1.0 the bug is again there. Error: device /dev/sdb2 is not removable After reemerginng sysfsutils 1.3.0 and pmount, the device can be mounted.
This is a bug from 2 years ago. I would recommend opening a new bug and providing full information.
