Description Dan 2005-06-15 19:30:26 UTC
Lately I've seen a lot of people using emerge -N, and curious to find out what that did, i checked emerge --help. It was not documented anywhere in there. It is in the manpage (short option for --newuse) but I'd expect it to be both in --help and the list of options when emerge is called without any paramaters.

Patch against emergehelp.py

Note: this is my first attempt at making a patch, its minor... and might be
easier just to update yourself, if the patch has problems I'd appreciate if you
told me however, so I can fix it in the future ;)

The patch was fine.
Comment 3 Jason Stubbs (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-07-14 05:47:35 UTC
Fixed on or before 2.0.51.22-r1

Looking through the batch of bugs, I'm not sure that some of these are
actually fixed in stable. Others, the requirements have possibly changed after
the initial fix was committed.

If you think this bug has been closed incorrectly, please reopen or ask that
it be reopened.

Doesn't appear in Portage 2.0.51.22-r1 (default-linux/x86/2005.0, gcc-3.4.4,
glibc-2.3.5-r0, 2.6.11-rc2-nitro1 i686)
, reopening as requested.
