app-editors/gedit-2.10.3 is unable to configure, as it looks for a perl module, XML::Parser which is not found. I do show this module installed, however: * dev-perl/XML-Parser Latest version available: 2.34 Latest version installed: 2.34 Size of downloaded files: 224 kB * Applying uClibc/libtool patches ... Please attach the config.log to your bug report: !!! /var/tmp/portage/gedit-2.10.3/work/gedit-2.10.3/config.log
Attempting to attach the config.log causes bugzilla to say the file is empty (it's not, and I have permissions to read it). Pasting here is too long.
sounds like you missed running the perl-cleaner script after updating perl.
