Simply renaming the ebuild work fine.
There are differences in "configure --help" output:

+  --with-gnutls=PATH      where to look for GnuTLS, PATH points to the
+                          installation root (default: /usr/local/)
+  --without-gnutls        disable GnuTLS detection

you may want to managege these too.

bumped in portage with optional gnutls support

s390 devs, can you please check curl-7.14.0 for your arch because it now has an optional dep for gnutls, 
but gnutls doesn't seem to be marked for s390. so i've removed the keyword for the new version. please 
add it once you guys have keyworded gnutls.

7.14.0 marked ~s390 in CVS.

FYI Alastair, gnutls-1.2.4 was already keyworded ~s390 ;-)
