Well, what do you mean? This is supported in 9.2.5. Also, not a portage thing.
yes this don't fit well in a portage tree, it may be good as a testing overlay. The bind-9.2.5-r4 ebuild _is_ the starting point for this ebuild, but it use a patch that not belong to the original dlz project (which is used from the original ebuild). The "gmane" link in the opening post of this bug point to a thread in which this patch is discussed onto the official dlz mailing list. read the phrase "The origin of this work (th..." as: The author was interested in try the dlz patch with bind 9.3.1, the support of "A6" records etc. The overlay is provided as is, in case it's of interest of someone. Feel free to ignore it if this is not of interest. In the evaluation of try or not this stuff remember that 9.3.1 is still masked in the portage overlay.

(In reply to comment #3) > yes this don't fit well in a portage tree, it may be good as a testing overlay. Err, I just wanted to say that you assigned this bug incorrectly to portage devs, that´s all. ;-) For the rest, voxus is the bind expert here.
great work, Francesco. i'm going to commit it soon.
committed as 9.3.1-r2 thanks again. :-)
Many thanks to you for the thanks <big grin>
