I'm seeing this message on a number of emerge's today. I do not think this is 1.04 specific as it's also shown up while emerging some updates for k3b and dvdrip.
Comment 2 Alexander Skwar 2005-05-13 22:46:26 UTC
Well, actually I agree with your assumption, that this "bug" is not *directly* about Firefox. BUT: it (certainly) is the firefox ebuild, which does not comply to some new rules, it seems.

Regarding the other packages: I'd file bugs against those as well.

Changing Summary and adding more CCs.
Comment 3 Thomas Kjosmoen 2005-05-14 05:01:54 UTC
I'm seeing this message on ppc-macos too.
Comment 4 Petteri Räty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-15 02:58:42 UTC
* Please upgrade your package (blackdown-jdk-1.3.1-r10) to use toolchain-funcs.eclass

Adding java to CC.
Comment 5 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-15 07:55:58 UTC
All video packages are fixed (a part from media-video/cinelerra which is going to fade soon), removing from CC.
Comment 6 Jan Brinkmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-15 16:25:55 UTC
done for dev-java/blackdown-*
Comment 7 Harm Geerts 2005-05-15 19:24:05 UTC
media-libs/netpbm-10.20
 * Please upgrade your package (netpbm-10.20) to use toolchain-funcs.eclass
Comment 8 Harm Geerts 2005-05-15 19:56:55 UTC
net-im/bitlbee
Comment 9 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-16 02:26:44 UTC
Bug #82745 is currently acting as a tracker for them, duping that.

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 92745 ***
Comment 10 Pierre Lejeune 2006-09-11 13:25:31 UTC
 * Please upgrade your package (vlc-0.8.0) to use toolchain-funcs.eclass
 * Please upgrade your package (vlc-0.8.1) to use toolchain-funcs.eclass
 * Please upgrade your package (vlc-0.8.0_alpha2) to use toolchain-funcs.eclass

I have this for some time...
Comment 11 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-09-11 14:12:55 UTC
The interesting part is that we don't have 0.8.0 or 0.8.1 versions in portage for months now.
