gaim-vv is fork of the gaim project which describes itself as "A friendly fork of the gaim project to concentrate on video and voice support, which will eventually be backported.". This ebuild is a sligthly modified version of the gaim-1.2.1.ebuild. As the gaim-vv code base is so similar I've decided to leave the keywords alone and keep the single patch that was being applied. If this is the 'wrong thing to do', I've tested this ebuild on x86 and amd64. I have been using gaim-vv for about half a week as my yahoo client and have experienced no stability issues but have not yet had the chance to test the voice of video capabilities. Guidance on the appropriate keywords would be appreciated. gaim-vv has a runtime dependancy on a gstreamer plugin called gst-jpeg200, which in turn depends on a lib called libj2k (both are products of the gaim-vv project). Ebuilds for them will also be attached. Cheers Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

Please, search before filing bugs. Thanks. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 90033 ***
bug #90033 does not show up when searching for open bugs as it's been closed, it doesn't not contain ebuilds, and does not offer any proof that gaim-vv is unsupported. I find it hard to believe that upstream was unresponsive seeing as ebuilds have never been in the tree.
Seriously, what do you mean that it does not show? What about searching for "ALL gaim-vv" directly on the bugzilla homepage? It shows three duplicate bugs.
I guess I left the 'all' out. I also just found somebody else's ebuilds in the Gentoo forums. What a waste of effort.
