When going to localhost:631 and attempting to add a new printer, the option for "Windows Printing via Samba" isn't included in the drop-down box, nor can it be added through the device URI option. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Direct your web browser to http://localhost:631. 2. Try to add a new printer. 3. The option isn't visible in the drop-down box. Attempting to add the device URI manually (e.g., setting it to "smb://user:pass@machine/$printer" doesn't work, either, returning a client_not_possible error. The problem is that the ebuild doesn't link /usr/bin/smbspool to /usr/lib/cups/backend/smb. Performing "ln -s /usr/bin/smbspool /usr/lib/cups/backend/smb" and restarting the cupsd service resolves the problem entirely.
This is a dup of Bug# 90681 and has been resolved. It's the Samba ebuild that supplies the symlink.
