Comment on attachment 57128 [details] Filters -momit-leaf-frame-pointer and allows MMX again Opps, posted to wrong Bug
This happens to me as well.
I can also confirm this. I noticed you're using an Athlon. I'm using a P4.
Same here, with mythfrontend on a AMD Athlon. I'll test my P III later.
According to the guys in #mythtv-users, the problem is because the ebuild has mmx (incorrectly) disabled.
I have the same issue emerge info Portage 2.0.51.20-r4 (default-linux/x86/2005.0, gcc-3.4.3-20050110, glibc-2.3.5-r0, 2.6.12-rc2 i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.12-rc2 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz Gentoo Base System version 1.6.11 dev-lang/python: 2.3.5 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.59-r6 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.5 sys-devel/binutils: 2.15.92.0.2-r8 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.14 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.11 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86 ~x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-O3 -march=pentium4 -pipe -mmmx -msse -msse2 -mno-sse3 -mno-3dnow -mfpmath=sse,387 -fomit-frame-pointer -maccumulate-outgoing-args" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/env /usr/kde/3.3/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/shutdown /usr/kde/3.4/env /usr/kde/3.4/share/config /usr/kde/3.4/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb /usr/lib/mozilla/defaults/pref /usr/share/config /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-O3 -march=pentium4 -pipe -mmmx -msse -msse2 -mno-sse3 -mno-3dnow -mfpmath=sse,387 -fomit-frame-pointer -maccumulate-outgoing-args" DISTDIR="/tmp/disfiles" FEATURES="autoconfig distlocks parallel-fetch sandbox sfperms strict" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://distfiles.gentoo.org http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j3" PKGDIR="/tmp/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.us.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage/" USE="x86 X aalib alsa apm avi berkdb bitmap-fonts bonobo cdr crypt cups curl emboss encode fam flac foomaticdb fortran gd gdbm gif gpm gtk gtk2 gtkhtml guile imagemagick imlib java jpeg libg++ libwww mad mikmod mmx mmx2 motif mozilla mp3 mpeg mysql ncurses nls ogg oggvorbis opengl oss pam pdflib perl pic png python qtquicktime readline samba sdl spell sse ssl svga tcpd tiff truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts vorbis xinerama xml xml2 xmms xv zlib" Unset: ASFLAGS, CTARGET, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS, LINGUAS media-tv/mythtv-0.18 +X +alsa (-altivec) -arts -cle266 -debug -directfb -dvb -ieee1394 -jack -joystick -lcd -lirc +nls +nvidia +oggvorbis +opengl +oss +xv
K. My P-III is also having the same problem.
I have modified the mythtv and mythfrontend ebuilds to allow mmx again, as well as to enable the processor optimizations which is what I beleive broke the mmx. I'll attach them to this bug so please test them and let me know if this fixed the issue.
Created attachment 58587 [details] allows mmx and allows processor optimizations (mythtv ebuld)
