I went ahead and placed the gnome mask in my /etc/portage/package.unmask to test out the 2.10 release. I've found that in Nautilus 2.10.0, the ~/.gnome2/nautilus-scripts directory no longer appears when you right click on a file or directory. This just started working again in the last release of nautilus I was using before going to 2.10 (nautilus-2.8.2-r1) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Place executable scripts in ~/.gnome2/nautilus-scripts 2.Right click on a file or directory 3. Actual Results: No "scripts" menu appeared Expected Results: A scripts menu should have appeared Portage 2.0.51.19 (default-linux/x86/2004.2, gcc-3.3.5, glibc-2.3.4.20041102-r1, 2.6.10 i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.10 i686 AMD Athlon(tm) MP 1900+ Gentoo Base System version 1.6.10 Python: dev-lang/python-2.3.5 [2.3.5 (#1, Mar 30 2005, 00:44:23)] distcc 2.16 i686-pc-linux-gnu (protocols 1 and 2) (default port 3632) [disabled] dev-lang/python: 2.3.5 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.59-r6, 2.13 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.7.9-r1, 1.6.3, 1.9.5, 1.5, 1.8.5-r3 sys-devel/binutils: 2.15.92.0.2-r7 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.14 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.8.1-r4 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86 ~x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-O3 -march=athlon-mp -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/env /usr/kde/3.3/share /config /usr/kde/3.3/shutdown /usr/kde/3.4/env /usr/kde/3.4/share/config /usr/kd e/3.4/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb /usr/lib/mozilla/default s/pref /usr/share/config /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-O3 -march=athlon-mp -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs autoconfig ccache distlocks sandbox sfperms" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://ftp.gtlib.cc.gatech.edu/pub/gentoo http://gentoo.binarycom pass.org http://mirror.datapipe.net/gentoo http://www.gigaload.org/gentoo.org/" MAKEOPTS="-j3" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 3dnow 3dnowex X aalib acpi aim alsa apm arts audiofile avi berkdb bitma p-fonts cdr crypt cups curl divx4linux dvd dvdr dvdread emboss encode esd fam fl ac flash font-server foomaticdb fortran ftp gdbm gif gnome gpm gstreamer gtk gtk 2 gtkhtml imagemagick imap imlib ipv6 java jpeg junit kde libg++ libwww mad mikm od mmx motif mozilla mp3 mpeg msn ncurses nls oggvorbis opengl pam pda pdflib pe rl png python qt quicktime readline samba sdl slang spell sse ssl svg svga tcltk tcpd tiff truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts xml2 xmms xpm xv xvid yahoo zlib" Unset: ASFLAGS, CBUILD, CTARGET, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS
what is your shared-mime-info version ?
$ epm -q shared-mime-info shared-mime-info-0.14-r2
try shared-mime-info-0.16
upgrading to shared-mime-info-0.16 fixed this bug! Thanks!
(In reply to comment #3) > try shared-mime-info-0.16 shared-mime 0.15 did it for me with nautilus-2.10.1. I do not understand why this bug has been marked resolved? My opinion is that nautilus-2.10.1 should depend on >shared-mime-info-0.15! I just spend 2 hours trying to figure out why my scripts wheren't working! Or put it in the gnome-base/gnome-2.10.1 when gentoo decides to update that package?
