There was an error compiling 'conf'. Be sure you have a proper
Qt 3.x Multithreaded (MT) build environment set up.

One possible reason is that you don't have
libqt-mt.so.3 installed in /usr/qt/3/lib/.

------- Comment #2 From Mark Carbonaro 2005-03-25 02:51:26 0000 -------
I had the same problem as Jan Jitse Venselaar where the MT check failed, the
work around that I used was to create a symlink...

ln -s /usr/qt/3/lib64 /usr/qt/3/lib

Once this was created qca-tls the configure, compile and install all worked
fine.

It seems there is a bug that stops configure looking in lib64 for the correct
libraries. This appears to be a different problem than what was reported in
this bug though.

------- Comment #3 From Daniel Black 2005-06-21 05:56:55 0000 -------
is this still a problem?

------- Comment #4 From Janne Pikkarainen 2005-07-07 00:23:50 0000 -------
I had this problem for a while, but solution in bug #79489 (removing
qt-embedded) did fix it for me.

------- Comment #8 From Henri Magnin 2006-07-30 02:26:20 0000 -------
(From update of attachment 92985 [details])
NOTE (HMag) - I DO NOT have qt-embedded installed, and all the QT configuration
variables are OK...

------- Comment #9 From Henri Magnin 2006-07-30 02:47:30 0000 -------
(In reply to comment #3)
> is this still a problem?
>

YES this is still a problem - see my comments #7 (with attached file) and #8.
I also tried the workaround from comment #2, in multiple ways, and I still get
the problem. I DO NOT have qt-embedded emerged. I just try to emerge KDE in a
brand fresh from-Stage3 Gentoo install that I am preparing manually in a chroot
jail...

------- Comment #10 From Sheldon Hearn 2006-09-08 13:30:06 0000 -------
See bug #146522.

------- Comment #11 From Caleb Tennis 2006-09-22 05:54:57 0000 -------
Re: #7 - it looks like you updated glibc out from behind Qt and it's not happy
anymore. Have you tried re-emerging Qt?

------- Comment #12 From endrazine 2006-10-07 19:28:57 0000 -------
same compatibility issue (apparently with openssl, see here :
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146522) with version
app-crypt/qca-tls-1.0-r3
(you might need to #ifdef x86, I can't test it on any other platform :/)

Here comes my patch:

localhost qca-tls-1.0 # diff qca-tls.cpp.old qca-tls.cpp
457c457
<                               r = d2i_RSA_PUBKEY(NULL, (unsigned char **)&p,
len);
---
>                               r = d2i_RSA_PUBKEY(NULL, (const unsigned char **) &p, len);
802c802
<               X509 *t = d2i_X509(NULL, &p, len);
---
>               X509 *t = d2i_X509(NULL,(const unsigned char **)  &p, len);
localhost qca-tls-1.0 #

Cheers,

endrazine-
