I had the same problem as Jan Jitse Venselaar where the MT check failed, the work around that I used was to create a symlink... ln -s /usr/qt/3/lib64 /usr/qt/3/lib Once this was created qca-tls the configure, compile and install all worked fine. It seems there is a bug that stops configure looking in lib64 for the correct libraries. This appears to be a different problem than what was reported in this bug though.
is this still a problem?
I had this problem for a while, but solution in bug #79489 (removing qt-embedded) did fix it for me.

Comment on attachment 92985 [details] I have the same problem while emerging qca-1.0-r2 NOTE (HMag) - I DO NOT have qt-embedded installed, and all the QT configuration variables are OK...
(In reply to comment #3) > is this still a problem? > YES this is still a problem - see my comments #7 (with attached file) and #8. I also tried the workaround from comment #2, in multiple ways, and I still get the problem. I DO NOT have qt-embedded emerged. I just try to emerge KDE in a brand fresh from-Stage3 Gentoo install that I am preparing manually in a chroot jail... - HMag -
See bug #146522.
Re: #7 - it looks like you updated glibc out from behind Qt and it's not happy anymore. Have you tried re-emerging Qt?
same compatibility issue (apparently with openssl, see here : http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146522) with version app-crypt/qca-tls-1.0-r3 (you might need to #ifdef x86, I can't test it on any other platform :/) Here comes my patch: localhost qca-tls-1.0 # diff qca-tls.cpp.old qca-tls.cpp 457c457 < r = d2i_RSA_PUBKEY(NULL, (unsigned char **)&p, len); --- > r = d2i_RSA_PUBKEY(NULL, (const unsigned char **) &p, len); 802c802 < X509 *t = d2i_X509(NULL, &p, len); --- > X509 *t = d2i_X509(NULL,(const unsigned char **) &p, len); localhost qca-tls-1.0 # Cheers, endrazine-
