While trying to emerge app-crypt/qca-tls-1.0-r2 I got the following error... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge qca 2. 3. I had the same problem as Jan Jitse Venselaar where the MT check failed, the work around that I used was to create a symlink... ln -s /usr/qt/3/lib64 /usr/qt/3/lib Once this was created qca-tls the configure, compile and install all worked fine. It seems there is a bug that stops configure looking in lib64 for the correct libraries. This appears to be a different problem than what was reported in this bug though.
is this still a problem?
I had this problem for a while, but solution in bug #79489 (removing qt-embedded) did fix it for me.

Re: #7 - it looks like you updated glibc out from behind Qt and it's not happy anymore. Have you tried re-emerging Qt?

This bug is a mish of about 5 different issues. If -r3 doesn't fix your particular problem, please open a new report.
