Description François Bissey 2005-03-16 16:36:38 UTC
Hi,

After doing emerge sync this morning I got the following message
from emerge -puDv world:
[ebuild UD] media-libs/alsa-oss-0.9.8 [1.0.6] 131 kB
[ebuild UD] media-sound/alsa-tools-0.9.8 [1.0.6] 0 kB

After inspecting the Changelog for both ebuild I realized that
someone called Jeremy Huddleston <eradicator@gentoo.org> has removed
the 1.0.6 ebuilds as old without considering that the only other stable
ebuild for ppc is 0.9.8.
Can we make sure that this situation is fixed by either restoring the
ebuild or providing us a new stable one please.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

  19 Mar 2005; Lars Weiler <pylon@gentoo.org> alsa-oss-1.0.7.ebuild:
Stable keyword disappeared due to deletion of alsa-1.0.6. See bug #85571.
Comment 2 Lars Weiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-19 13:10:57 UTC
I second the words of Francois. Please take care for keywords in future or drop a note to the arch who should keyword a never version stable.

alsa-oss-1.0.7 is now stable on ppc.
