I get this in my .gnomerc-errors file: (nautilus:25748): libgnomevfs-WARNING **: Cannot load module `/usr/lib/gnome-vfs -2.0/modules/libvfolder-desktop' (/usr/lib/gnome-vfs-2.0/modules/libvfolder-desk top.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory) (nautilus:25748): libgnomevfs-WARNING **: Cannot load module `/usr/lib/gnome-vfs -2.0/modules/libvfolder-desktop' (/usr/lib/gnome-vfs-2.0/modules/libvfolder-desk top.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
I found something on the net here http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/archive/index.php/t-20153.html telling that this error gets away having gamin installed. but I didn't try it.
I just emerged gamin and booted an inotify patched kernel. I even recompiled nautilus. but this error message is still here
you probably didn't upgrade your gnome-vfs config files in /etc . vfolder has been ditched and no, you therefore cannot load it.
how can I upgrade them? I did an etc-update after emerging gnome. what else should I do?
well there's obviously _some_ file there (don't ask me how it got there) which tries to load this particular module. Easiest is to just 'rm -fr /etc/gnome-vfs-2.0/' and remerge gnome-vfs . Closing this, cause so far I don't think it's a real bug & it isn't harmful anyway.
I did as you told. even reemerged nautilus but I still get this warning. so I did a "grep desktop *" in the /etc/gnome-vfs-2.0/modules directory: user@machine modules $ grep desktop * default-modules.conf:trash: libvfolder-desktop
I just had a look at the gnome-2.10 live cd. the default-modules.conf file doesn't have a "trash: libvfolder-desktop" entry.
ok, found it. have a look at the gnome-vfs-2.10.0.ebuild. in the src_install routine we manually insert the trash entry. this should be removed.
fixed, thanks for checking back.
