when I try to set the preference in celestia it hangs and I must kill -9 pids

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.run celestia
2. Impostazioni (sorry preferences)


Actual Results:  
application hangs

Expected Results:  
it shall show the preference windows

This bug appears to be the same issue as that seen in bug 73651, marking this 
as a dupe to concentrate effort in one bug.
